PLANK ASTEROS

Project 1

Project Overview
You are in control of a Planc-Asteros a living being who will have to travel towards the confines of the Phytoplankton to avoid being devoured by its predators. As you advance in the adventure, you will procreate and ally with other Asteros in order to overcome colossal dangers and find new routes that will help you through the adventure.
My Contributions
I make few experiments with the Verlet Physics, in Love2d. Then I implemented that verlet physics from a Reddit user to system that works in the Godot engine physics.
With that implementation I start to imagine a possible fun way to present that physics. I made a documentation to inspire me, that's way read biology books and documentals and made some illustration.

Tha way of playing the game is through sliding towards the map in wide rooms and stretchy corridors, the physics permit your Astero to have inertia that slides you through the walls depending the friction of the material. The would is made in favor of quick and strategic navigation. Enemies stand in your path and the only thing you can do is to dodge them or defeat them indirectly.
Normally, you have one hit point, fusing with other asteros will increase your health make your astero more tight to control, however, your speed will lower and your density (hitbox) will increase.
